We’re now over a month inside the new term and since we’ve all gotten used to the school life again by now, of course we’ve started working on our project Sustainable Development again: We’re getting further and further in developing the website and we are also making some huge progress with the concepts of how to explain the sustainable development goals to other scholars around the world, though there is still a lot to be done…
For example, we’ve created a new version of the werewolf game to show how pollution can harm the environment and make animals seriously ill!
In a common reserve of wild animals, every animal has a fixed territory and an owner. These owners meet monthly to discuss matters that concern all the animal owners. But there are polluters among them, and they secretly pollute the territories of the other owners‘ animals. The job of the monthly assembly is to find out who the polluter is because the animal will have eaten some of the waste and become seriously ill by now…
In our opinion, this shows in a playful sort of way why pollution of the environment is a very bad thing, but also difficult to prevent!
Of course, this was just one example out of many, but we are going to talk about some of the other ones another time!
