First, we cut an OSB board to the appropriate size and attached the motors to the underside. Then, we drilled two large holes in the board through which we fed the cables. Next, we attached the microstep drivers to the top using Velcro strips and screwed the Arduino board in place. Now all we had to do was connect the Arduino Uno to the drivers with the cables. Finally, we painted the entire board with black paint, and the first prototype was finished.
